If we ask ourselves what is our world? It would be bit confusing question to answer. There is one phrase, "In which world you are living?" This suggests that our world is limited or expanded by our thoughts.
Try the following,
At the end of the day try to memorize what were the thoughts throughout the day. Do not include thoughts related to office or technical or pure project related work, Try to avoid them as far as possible.
You can recollect what topic you have discussed with your friends or colleagues, about whom you have discussed. It can be complaining or crying about the situation or it can be encouraging discussion on the budget or economy or picture or how somebody is fool in office, friends, family problems etc.
While doing this process we will understand that majority of our spare time is getting engaged in these thoughts and our actions follow them.
If you do such activity and try to see for more number of days & weeks, you will find that a particular pattern will emerge.
From the pattern we can very well find out our how life is emerging.(other than work) And I am sure that if we have enough things in mind the pattern would turn out to be positive and energetic.
This is one of the simple ways to know about our world. Our world is nothing but the projection of our thoughts and this varies from person to person.
When the work and inner inspiration matches, then there is positive resonance and 24 x 7 one would find the thoughts related to the vision and that person never ever gets tired or gets bore in life, because he expands his thoughts to all the possible directions in this world to get needed information. It becomes his own world, his vision.
The idea of this exercise to make us realize do we have any such world which is very near and dear one to ourselves and would preserve and expand it for life long.
Good Heading for the topic!!
ReplyDeleteOur World is bound by our thoughts...which can be limitless..
But Our thoughts are affected by the environment around, the work we do, and the people we speak to. So, This cannot be the real world. We would just be imagining a world of our current present and the most near future.
So, this activity is only for having a vision of the short term goals and objectives. How Does one view the bigger picture?
Or As little droplets form an ocean; all short term goals make up the bigger picture possible.
Hi nice heading “Our world is bound by our thoughts” I liked it.
ReplyDeleteThe idea of this activity is to make us realize our area of consciousness. By doing this activity, mapping of our thoughts, we actually mapping our own consciousness. we start understanding that we have limited ourselves & not allow to go beyond the boundaries laid by the thoughts. We only think that our thoughts are limitless, but our conscious will tell how much have limited to ourselves.
For the bigger picture, you are right that the short term goals make up the bigger picture. But I will recommend to understand the concept of the Expedition in the article “Are we living scale down life”/
We have to go very close to our inner voice, our intuition, the activity in which we get completely lost( the sense of time, space & cause). This will help us to understand the bigger picture.
The seed of the bigger picture should be from inside and not from outside.
